CH030307
Collapsible administrative desk in solid teak and teak veneer. Thick, rectangular top with a cedar base covered in bordeaux-coloured leather and inserted into a solid teak frame. The right side is supported by a profiled "X"-shape leg assembly and the left by a long, double-sided cabinet resting on four short, tapered legs.
Internally, the cabinet contains an open, rectangular storage compartment beneath two slant-fronted drawers and another open storage compartment. Externally, there are two open storage comparments.
Cedar, a soft, local wood, allows the leather to be fixed by tacking, unlike teak, which is a dense wood and therefore too hard for the purpose.
Circa 1964-65.
