Pierre JEANNERET. Office chair known as "Office cane chair" in black lacquered solid teak with seat and backrest in braided canework. "Compass" type double side leg assembly with the legs connected by two crosspieces and supporting the armrests. Slanted, slightly curved backrest, attached to the seat by two small supports at the bottom.
The black lacquered Chandigarh furniture was designed as a protective measure and for easier cleaning. It was therefore found in cafeterias and university restaurants, as well as medical and hospital centres.
